Feng Shui is an ancestral Chinese art dating over 4,000 years whose origins go back to antiquity.
It is not a religion and is part of Tao’s wisdom as one of the pillars of Chinese thought as well as the Buddhist conception of life.
The first traces appeared in the Tang dynasty, but for centuries, access to the knowledge of authentic feng shui and the classical texts containing its numerous secrets were reserved to the imperial family and the Chinese ruling classes.
It was only during the 20th century that Feng Shui became accessible to the majority of the people and thus extremely popular. Crossing oceans it attained new shores, the United States, the United Kingdom, Anglo-Saxon countries, and much later the French-speaking countries by enriching itself with various trends and subtleties.
Feng Shui has conquered the entire world, all social backgrounds, large companies, celebrities and individuals.
The term “Feng Shui” literally translates to “wind and water”. The amalgamation, interaction, circulation and interpenetration of these two life-generating elements, describe the fundamental energy the “chi”.
Feng Shui teaches us how to tidy each room of the house, apartment, office and garden in order to let circulate this energy, the “chi”, in the most ideal way.
This vital breath positively influences health, relationships, creativity, financials, family-life, careers, prosperity, and spirituality without forgetting our animals.
Feng Shui analyses the floorplans of these places, as well as the nature of the space, taking into account the essential composition, the complementary notions of Yin and Yang, the five elements (Water, Earth, Fire, Metal and Wood) through materials, shapes, colours, cardinal directions and the lighting quality.

The principal objective of Feng Shui, like acupuncture and Qi Gong, is to optimise the circulation of energy fields that flow between space and the body in a manner more or less free and beneficial. They stimulate energy flow in order to eliminate blockages and allow it to circulate freely and harmoniously once again in the body and soul. This circulating energy, brings thoughts and emotions to each cell. The energy in our bodies is influenced by the one in the environment and, inversely, acting on our emotions and feelings.
Large number of people will feel uneasy, discouraged and nervous when entering a space, or on the contrary, a feeling of well-being, dynamism and inspiration.
We can consider Feng Shui to be a medicine of the home, even if it is not in itself, capable of creating a better environment and redirecting a person towards more optimal choices.
It can contribute to your well-being and happiness all the while giving you the opportunity to benefit from the necessary energy and inspiration to attain your objectives. Feng Shui will favour personal development by way of tapping into the powers that surround you and to live fully in your life.
Westernised and modernised Feng Shui will equally consider removing disturbances that affect your health such as electromagnetic waves and microwaves, geopathic stress, energy leaks as well as gases emitted by building materials.
It provides an array of techniques, easily applicable, to restore balance by bringing a greater harmony and joy of living in your environment all while respecting your choices.
